My Learning Journey: When No One Taught Me, I Learned to Teach Myself

My Learning Journey: When No One Taught Me, I Learned to Teach Myself

I have worked at many different places during my journey, and everywhere I went, I noticed one thing:

You are expected to know everything, but no one really teaches you.

There is little to no support. You are simply given the work and told to figure it out yourself.

I started my journey as an intern, and most of the opportunities I got were for Web Development Intern roles. But once I actually started working, I realized something very different.

They wanted an intern, but they expected the experience of a professional developer.

There were many things I didn’t know. Whenever I had doubts, I would ask questions, but I often didn’t get proper guidance or support. Nobody really took the time to explain things to me.

In some places, the pressure started from the very first day.

Because of this, I eventually left several jobs.

I didn’t mind working hard. I wanted to learn. But I kept asking myself:

How can I grow if nobody is willing to help me learn?

Then I Found Apni Pathshala

Then I got an opportunity to work as a Web Development Intern at Apni Pathshala.

I joined and started working.

This time, things were different.

The people around me were supportive, and I got the opportunity to learn many new things. In the beginning, whenever I didn’t understand something, they explained what I needed to do and gave me the initial direction.

But as I started progressing, something changed.

They stopped giving me the answers.

Whenever I had a doubt, I would go to my senior and ask:

“How should I do this?”

And his answer was often:

“The thing you just asked me, ask ChatGPT.”

So I did.

I asked ChatGPT, searched for solutions, tried different things, made mistakes, and eventually found the solution.

But I would still tell my senior:

“If you had just told me the answer, I could have saved so much time. I could have finished the work much faster.”

And his response taught me something that I will never forget:

“If I keep telling you everything, you will never learn to solve problems yourself. You will never become independent.”

At that time, I didn’t fully understand what he meant.

But today, I do.

He wasn’t just teaching me how to do the work.

He was teaching me how to learn.

This Is Where My Real Learning Started

I realized something very important:

“My learning didn’t start when someone started teaching me. My learning started when I started doing things on my own.”

From that point onwards, my approach changed.

Whenever I faced a problem, my first thought was no longer:

“Whom should I ask?”

Instead, it became:

“How can I solve this myself?”

I started searching.

I started reading documentation.

I started using AI.

I started experimenting.

I failed.

I tried again.

And eventually, I found solutions.

Slowly, I started becoming confident in myself.

Today, I independently look after and manage eight websites.

Things that once seemed difficult to me are now things I can handle on my own.

And that is one of the biggest changes I have seen in myself.

The Motive of Apni Pathshala

I believe the motive of Apni Pathshala is not just to teach students technical skills.

It is to make every student independent.

To teach every student how to learn on their own.

To make students capable of facing a problem and thinking:

“Let me try to solve this myself first.”

And I feel that I have experienced this transformation myself.

I learned many things independently.

With the help of AI, I learned how to build my own plugins.

I learned AWS.

I learned Cloudflare.

And I know that this journey is still far from over.

But Is My Learning Over Now?

No. Not at all.

If I start thinking:

“I have learned enough.”

then that is probably the moment my growth will start slowing down.

Sometimes we feel like we are ahead of everyone.

But maybe the reason we cannot see anyone ahead of us is because the people who are ahead are already much further down the road.

There will always be someone who knows more.

There will always be something new to learn.

Technology will change.

Tools will change.

AI will evolve.

New technologies will come.

And I will have to keep learning with them.

Because the day I stop learning is the day I stop growing.

So my learning will continue.

I will keep learning.
I will keep improving.
I will keep growing.

Thank You to the People Who Helped Me Grow

There are a few people I especially want to thank for being part of this journey.

Thank you, Pranav bhai, for teaching me to solve problems on my own.

If you had not given me the opportunity to work with AWS and Cloudflare, I might never have explored and learned them myself.

Thank you, Tara bhai.

If you had not taught me the importance of self-learning, I might never have become as independent and self-driven as I am today.

And most importantly,

Thank you, Apni Pathshala.

If I had never received this opportunity, perhaps learning would have remained far away from me, and so would growth.

You didn’t just give me an internship opportunity.

You gave me the opportunity to learn how to learn.

And for me, that is much more valuable than any job title.

And Above All, Thank You, Lord Jesus Christ

Above everyone and everything, I want to thank my Lord Jesus Christ.

He placed me at Apni Pathshala, where I got the opportunity to learn, grow, explore, and become a better version of myself.

I believe that His plan is far better than my own plan.

Sometimes, we only see what is in front of us.

But God’s plan can be far greater than anything we can imagine.

As Scripture reminds us, there are things “no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human mind has conceived” that God has prepared.

And I believe I will continue to see His goodness in my life.

My Journey Is Not Over

When I look back, I realize that every difficult experience taught me something.

The places where I didn’t receive support taught me the importance of independence.

The problems I couldn’t solve taught me how to search for solutions.

The people who stopped giving me answers taught me how to find answers myself.

And Apni Pathshala gave me the environment and opportunity to turn those lessons into growth.

Today, I am still learning.

I am still making mistakes.

I am still solving problems.

I am still discovering new things.

And most importantly,

I am still growing.

Because I have learned one of the most important lessons of my journey:

“Don’t always wait for someone to teach you. Learn how to teach yourself.”

My learning didn’t begin when someone gave me all the answers.

My learning began when I started finding the answers myself.

And this is only the beginning.

My journey with Apni Pathshala is still going on… ❤️
